My 5 year old calls it sludge..but he doesn’t know sludge is gross…this stuff is good..it is slush! In my church gatherings growing up and at wedding receptions growing up we had slush all the time, it really is so good and I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of it:) So it’s a cooked jello like stuff that you freeze then bring out before you eat. Scrape off some in a cup and add the sparkling beverage of your choice…sprite is great, today was 7up:) It’s now a tradition in our house at Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve dinners:) Here’s the recipe:..oh and make it a couple days before so it can freeze enough..

Boil 3 cups water and 5 cups sugar, add 46 oz pineapple juice and 9 cups of water. Dissolve small package of lime jello into one cup boiling water and add to the above stuff. Freeze in 3 half gallon containers…this can feed an army so maybe cut it in half:) this makes about 50 cups…recipe credit is from one of these lovely ladies from somewhere that I knew growing up…that probably got it from her mom and from her friend…
