ITS A…dairy, gluten free sloppy joe!

Em’s sloppy Joe’s

Brown 1 pound or so of meat with 2 cups of celery ( I like celery so I add a lot). Drain the grease off the meat. Then add about 2 cups of prego spaghetti sauce, a generous tablespoon of worchestire sauce, couple Tablespoons of brown sugar, couple dashes of garlic powder, couple teaspoons of lemon juice, generous teaspoon of salt, and a bit of black ground pepper. Let it get bubbly and cook the flavors together then u r done! I combined mine with New Grains toasted white bread, Earth Balance butter on the bread, lettuce, pickles, and Love Your Heart mozzarella cheese. I also added mayo and mustard…that was for after the picture and it got messier and yummier;)

  1. I love sloppy Joe’s. Here’s my recipe – I prefer it sweeter with a tang from red wine vinegar. https://aletterfromhome.wordpress.com/2016/12/31/recipe-of-the-month-sloppy-joes/

  3. I add grated carrots and zucchini to my sloppy joe meat, but I have never thought of celery. I will try it next time. Thanks for sharing!
